World-class regatta sailing meets a maritime festival with a big heart. When the who’s who of international sailing meets in Travemünde every year, the spectators are there live and experience the thrilling races on the waves of the Baltic Sea up close from the lively promenades. The “WE” is written in capital letters here: The people of Travemünde, local clubs and associations enrich Travemünde Week with their creativity. The seaside resort becomes a cosmopolitan and international meeting place where top athletes from all over the world come to compete. We look forward to seeing you!

Show sailing in the Trave
Must-See
Sailing and festival in one: Nowhere else can festival visitors get as close to sailing as during Travemünde Week. The arrival and departure of the yachts and dinghies in the Trave, the mooring and casting off at Priwall, Grünstrand or Mövenstein can be experienced first hand.
The best place to get a glimpse of the action is at the Trave Races. Each afternoon around 5 p.m., a small fleet of the current TW classes is sent out on a tight course. The short, crisp races can be seen from the Trave promenade and are expertly commentated.
The show races also include the popular Volksbank Rotspon Cup! Here, the mayor of Lübeck competes against a fellow politician. This year: Reinhard Meyer, Minister of Economics, Infrastructure, Tourism and Labor of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Once again, a magnum bottle of red wine and, naturally, honour are at stake.
