Daniel Günther, the Primeminister of Schleswig-Holstein, has assumed patronage of Travemünde Week. He extends a warm welcome to visitors and participants alike, stating: “Travemünde Week takes place during a challenging time when many things are in flux. Some may ask: Is it right to celebrate or compete in sports under these circumstances? My answer is clear: Yes, it is—and it is precisely at times like these that carrying on matters. Vibrant events like Travemünde Week demonstrate the strengths of our society.”
According to the Primeminister, Travemünde Week brings people together. It unites sport, community, and a love for the sea. It also reminds us that, especially when facing various challenges, we are in this together rather than alone. “Anyone witnessing how sport connects people here on the coast immediately senses the positive power it holds. I extend my thanks to the many people who are once again making Travemünde Week possible: the organizers, the numerous volunteers, the clubs, the security personnel, and the helpers on land and on the water.”
Daniel Günther wishes everyone exciting races, great encounters, fresh Baltic Sea air, and a fantastic Travemünde Week.
