The brothers Helge and Christian Sach continues record
hunting at the Travemünde Week. In the 122nd Edition of the most
beautiful sailing regatta in the world they were celebrating in their
Formula 18 catamaran the 17th victory - as many as nobody else was
allowed to celebrate before. They were equally confident in their
success as the catamaran colleagues Roland and Nahid Gaebler
(Tinglev), who decided at the tornados the International German
championship.
Also in the other classes, there was no doubt about
the winners. Meike Schomäker/Holger Jess (Kiel) won every single
race in the 505 class. This is indeed unique to TW 2011, but also
laser sailor Marco Grasse (Berlin) and Contender actor Jan von der
Bank (Eutin) had other German total success. To Carlos Robles/Florian
Trittel from Spain went the biggest trophies of the 29er Class, and
the danish girls Jeanine Olrik/Frederikke Graversen won the European
Championship of 29erXX in front of the twin sisters Jule and Lotta
Görge from Kiel.
